The Game of Extremes:  A Climate Adaptation Role-Playing Exercise

Wednesday, February 19th, 2020

9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

On Wednesday, February 19th, 2020, DVRPC will lead a climate adaptation role-playing exercise called The Game of Extremes.

The Game of Extremes is an interactive game-based exercise that helps participants understand the process of conducting a vulnerability and risk assessment and think about strategies to protect public assets from current and future flooding and extreme heat. The game is played in a series of steps and integrated into a presentation. Attendees progress through the steps from climate science, to asset inventory, to vulnerability, risk, and adaptation planning.

Following The Game of Extremes, you are encouraged to join us for a networking lunch. After lunch, DVRPC will discuss the opportunity for your organization to run its own climate change adaptation workshop incorporating The Game of Extremes. DVRPC is able to provide some support for such workshops.
