ABOUT ABOUT

DVRPC is currently in the process of updating its Long-Range Plan and would like your input! One of DVRPC’s core functions is to develop and update a Long-Range Plan for the Greater Philadelphia region. The Long-Range Plan creates a vision for the region's growth, development, and preservation, and is a blueprint for the prioritization and funding of capital transportation investments. Realizing the integrated and interconnected relationship between transportation and the built environment, the Long-Range Plan also considers regional land use, the environment, economic development, and equity.  As the first step in updating the Plan, DVRPC has been convening experts from a wide range of fields to project alternative futures based on existing trends and forces in the region, and to identify implications in each future scenario.

Please join us for a small-group, interactive, scenario planning workshop focusing on the region’s responses to climate change in 2050.  This meeting, led by DVRPC’s Long-Range Planning team, will explore how the region might respond to projected changes in climate under each of the four planning scenarios.  This workshop will inform the next scenario planning report and, ultimately, the Connections 2050 Long-Range Plan.
