The number of electric vehicles on our roadways is rapidly expanding. Though the adoption of new technology can be exciting, it also introduces new challenges. The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is partnering with RoadwayRescue LLC to provide a free training session designed for first responders that will address the challenge of managing electric vehicle fires.
This training session will be led by David Dalrymple, founder of RoadwayRescue LLC, and Tony Correia, Bucks County Incident Management Task Force co-chair. David and his diverse team of educators have been providing educational and training services for first responders since 1999. David and his team have developed a dynamic curriculum that aims to help responders feel confident and informed when handling electric vehicle fires on scene.
Topics covered include patient management, fire suppression, extrication, scene mitigation, debris clean-up, and situational awareness.
