Join DVRPC on March 19th for two FREE training opportunities on best practices for permitting and zoning for small-scale solar energy systems. Attendees will learn about the benefits of implementing standardized and streamlined permitting and zoning practices and develop a plan for incorporating these processes into their existing practices.
Agenda: The agenda will include two separate trainings – Permitting (AM session) and Zoning (PM session) Participants may attend one or both training sessions. The morning training will follow the Pennsylvania Association of Code Officials quarterly meeting (held from 9:00-10:00). Continuing education credits will be available to participants!
10:00-12:30 Permitting Training (How permitting affects overall cost of PV system, Solar PV Permitting Best Practices, Hands on Workshop on how municipalities can incorporate solar PV permitting best practices into their existing permitting processes.)

1:00-3:30 Zoning Training (Why zone for solar; Solar PV best practices for zoning, with a focus on specific issues (e.g. historic preservation, first responder safety, solar access, and more)).
