Please join DVRPC for a workshop which will provide fire fighters and emergency personnel with training on the safety precautions associated with recognizing and disabling solar photovoltaic (PV) systems during emergencies. Pennsylvania and New Jersey have seen an increase in solar PV installations on homes and businesses, as well as ground-mounted systems which presents new challenges to first-responders. This 3 hour workshop will address:
Identifying solar PV systems on-site
Recognizing the safety hazards associated with PV systems and how to avoid them
How to safely de-energize a solar PV system
Egan Waggonner from Cadmus will be the workshop trainer.
A free pizza dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. The training is free and will be held from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.
