DVRPC is currently in the process of updating its Long-Range Plan and would like your input! One of DVRPC’s core functions is to develop and update a Long-Range Plan for the Greater Philadelphia region. The Long-Range Plan creates a vision for the region's growth, development, and preservation, and is a blueprint for the prioritization and funding of capital transportation investments. Realizing the integrated and interconnected relationship between transportation and the built environment, the Long-Range Plan also considers regional land use, the environment, economic development, and equity. As the first step in updating the Plan, DVRPC has been convening experts from a wide range of fields to project alternative futures based on existing trends and forces in the region, and to identify implications in each future scenario.
Please join us for a small-group, interactive HCTF meeting, which will focus on a scenario planning exercise with the Long-Range Planning team. This meeting will explore several future scenarios the region could face, and ask participants to identify equity- and health-related implications for each. The exercise will inform the next Future Forces report and, ultimately, the Connections 2050 Long-Range Plan.
