Greater Philadelphia’s Hospitality and Tourism Economy 

Mary Bell, Manager of Demographic and Economic Analysis, DVRPC 

Ms. Bell will discuss the findings of a recently-released DVRPC Data Snapshot on Greater Philadelphia’s hospitality and tourism economy, including information on annual visitation; hospitality and tourism-related employment; and the industry’s overall economic impact. 

State of Tourism in New Jersey 

Jake Buganski, Acting Executive Director, New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism

The Division of Travel and Tourism successfully supports and markets New Jersey’s $44.1 billion tourism industry through its unique marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns. In addition to its promotional activities, the Division maintains vital partnerships with tourism members and Destination Marketing Organizations throughout New Jersey, provides marketing grants promoting tourism, and acts as an information portal. Mr. Buganski will highlight the activities of the department and explain how the agency plans to attract a new generation of tourists. 

Selling the Bucks County Tourist Experience 

Paul Bencivengo, Vice President, Visit Bucks County    

Visit Bucks County is the official tourism promotion agency for Bucks County,  Pennsylvania. Visit Bucks County provides information on the many activities offered; places to see, stay, and eat in Bucks County; and how to o and between destinations. Mr. Bencivengo will speak about the overall mission for the agency and the economic impact that tourism has had on the county and its many communities.

Food and Wine Tourism in Southern New Jersey 

Devon Perry, Executive Director, Visit South Jersey  

Visit South Jersey is the Official Visitors Guide for the South Jersey Tourism Corporation. Located in Camden County, Visit South Jersey markets and promotes activities offered and publishes the South Jersey Visitors Guide. Ms. Perry will talk about Southern New Jersey tourism and the tremendous economic impact of the growing food and wine industry in the southern portion of the state.
