Please join us for an FHWA-sponsored workshop involving efforts to develop and implement cross-asset, multi-objective methods for project prioritization and program development. The purpose of National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NHCRP) Project 08-103 is to Implement the Cross-Asset Resource Allocation (CAA) Guide and Prototype Tool that was developed by a prior NCHRP Project (Note: cross-asset resource allocation refers to project selection approaches that strive to transcend traditional-silo-based decision making to consider all types of investments based on common criteria). The consultant team (Spy Pond Partners and High Street Consulting Group) is working with selected agencies to develop cases studies of project selection approaches and demonstrate the tool. Because of our regional work to develop universal TIP Project Benefit Criteria, DVRPC has been selected as one of these case studies. As part of this effort, the consultant team is conducting a workshop with DVRPC and its stakeholders to present information on the state of the practice in CAA, demonstrate the CAA tools, and gain insight about the potential application of the tool and/or project findings. This work will help inform DVRPC discussions moving forward to update LRP and TIP Project Benefit Criteria. We are inviting you to attend this workshop to both provide input to the consultant team and to help DVRPC assess if ideas and concepts from the NCHRP could be used to help refine DVRPC’s project prioritization process.
